Issues

Each PA State Representative represents over sixty thousand people.  When a representative is less than fully active in the assembly, those tens of thousands are silenced.  I would love to get to a point of coasting, but that would mean that we have solved all of the problems the Commonwealth faces... which is pointedly not the case.

We need a representative who understands not only the economic engines of our district, but how those fit into the state as a whole.  We need a representative who understands that public education is a public good, and that dollars we spend today ultimately fund our future.  We need someone who is not going to be a reliable vote for gridlock, but who will take action and try to move the 81st and the whole of Pennsylvania into a brighter future.

Freedom (actual freedom)

Freedom isn't something that appears by itself by taking a hands-off approach; indeed, we are constantly reminded of the aphorism that "Freedom isn't free." If we want actual freedom, we have to take steps to invest in our society and our future so that all citizens can take advantage.

If the government is telling you what you can or can't do with your body, you're losing individual freedom.
If you are constantly worried about covering the costs of healthcare you need to survive -- because corporate greed is siphoning your paycheck, or because wages have been stagnant for years, you're losing economic freedom.

Freedom to express your vote as a citizen, freedom to live without fear (so that you can live the life you want)... enshrining and protecting these freedoms is what a government needs to be actively pursuing.

Education

The fuel of a thriving commonwealth is the education we provide to today's children and young adults who grow up to become tomorrow's leaders.  A vote to put me in Harrisburg is a vote to invest more fully in the children of the 81st.

Small Business

As a small business owner whose brewery opened just before the pandemic closed everything in 2020, I'm all too aware of the struggles of getting by.  But I'm also very aware that businesses like mine are the cornerstone of communities across the Commonwealth, and with that, I'd like to work with those businesses to grow them into places of local pride and community.
